William Lippens

Lead Project Architect

William earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Southern California and has been a licensed architect since 1986. He has over 40 years’ experience designing residential, commercial and institutional projects in both California and Washington, where he has lived since 1991.

William brings a particular focus to detail on all his projects and utilizes his many years of experience to create projects that are both aesthetically beautiful, functional, and durable.   His certification in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) has also enabled him to provide insight on multiple projects that benefit his client’s health-wise while reducing energy consumption.

William mentors new designers at Designs Northwest Architects as they work their way from schematic design to the construction documents phase. William recently added quality control to his responsibilities by reviewing all projects to ensure they are meeting the highest caliber of accuracy.

William lives on Camano Island with his wife of 43 years and in his spare time enjoys travelling the world, picking up a good book or two, and spending time with his kids and granddaughter.
